The legendary Harry Colt, who was responsible for some of the world's greatest courses, laid out our golf course in 1924 when it was forced to move across the Caledonian Canal to allow tree planting.
When his work was completed Colt told the club " I do not want to see any artificiality about the course. The natural ridges and mounds will provide plenty of amusing shots (very true) and your little course should be almost unique among golf courses in this way".
We are a relatively small club (94 members) tucked away in the middle of the highlands.
We offer a warm welcome to everyone and feel safe in the knowledge that your visit, as a member or visitor, will always be enjoyable, even if drives go astray and putts don't drop.
The course is a tough little so and so but will always welcome you back to try again, whist giving up some of the most spectacular views you could ever wish to see.
Our clubhouse is full of charm and offers a warm welcome to all who enter, with a well stocked bar and traditional golfers fayre to keep you going until dinner.
For the member we run a full programme of fixtures throughout the season coupled with matches vs other clubs.
(Please hit fixtures tab for details).
If you are visiting and need help with accommodation, where to eat etc we will be delighted to help. Please hit the accommodation tab for details.
Hopefully we'll see you soon.
PS
I would welcome any additional stories , incidents humourous or otherwise from older members or past visitors , as I would like to build this page up as much as possible.
